This goes back to history. We currently occupy the 38th parallel and support the democratic efforts of South Korea. If the enter into conflict with North Korea then we are obligated to help out with the South Koreans.
Also, there is the possibility that North Korea has obtained nuclear arms, which is just bad for everyone.

Learning to communicate effectively is integral to getting along in life. Telling others when something comes up or informing people of events is important. As reporters we fulfill the roles as society's communicators.
We have to speak and interact with one another on more than a surface level in order to understand one another.

The federal government could be most easily compared to a diaper. It needs to be changed often, and usually for the same reason: It gets pretty crappy. The problem is that people hold party loyalty rather than office loyalty. When you are given a government position, you do not do what your party tell you to do. You are to do as the constitution tells you to. If something follows the constitution and the people are for it, you get it passed. If something follows the constitution and the people are against it, you don't pass it. If something does not follow the constitution and the people are against it, don't pass it. Most importantly though, if something does not follow the constitution, despite however many people are for it, DO NOT PASS IT.
The spirit of the law is above the letter of the law, but we do not simply disregard the letter of the law.

My favorite birthday memory is the one where I got to see Cobra Starship in concert for my 16th birthday. My mom called into KISS FM and won my sister and I two backstage passes and two tickets to the show. We got to meet all of the members of Cobra Starship, including the bands that weren't headlining. It was DA BOMB. Until an old lady attacked me (no lie) and started trying to scratch up my stomach in her psycho quest to the front of the mosh pit.
It was crazy good times.

Of all the things for people to fear in this world, like being in horrible accidents and getting severely injured with possible death, I am less afraid of those things than wasting my life. I have spent so much time around the dying, the sick and the injured, that the thought of having severe bodily damage occur to me is far less of a threat since before. However, if I could never live my life the way I want, and achieve my goals then that would be the most horrible terrifying thing that could happen to me.
On a side note, things I am afraid of: Spiders, Car accidents (I flinch when I drive sometimes), and empty buildings.

Well from a legal and ethical aspect, yes. The state does have the power to regulate how we drive our vehicles because they travel on roads and highways, which are owned by the government. Also, the government is endowed with the moral obligation to do what is best for the people, which in this case would be to protect lives. Does this mean I want them to regulate texting and driving? Ha, no. I love texting at stoplights. Call me reckless, but I have the attention span of a teenager. Oh wait...
NO REGULATIONS POR FAVOR!

I need to improve on my ability to know when enough is enough. I had a nervous breakdown on Wednesday and I felt erratic and anxious since then. I just keep trying to stop and just breathe for a few minutes. It will get better tonight now that I finally have a day off. I haven't slept more than 7 hours in last two days, and I was nearly late for school this morning because I woke up late. I have written 4 essays in the last two days at 3am. My health science class has been making me feel insanely pressured. My work schedule has been beating my back. I need to improve on my health habits. I am going to start letting my mind and body deteriorate.
I just feel so crazy that I almost want to just curl up in a ball and not go anywhere or see anyone. I want to just sleep for a million years and to sit in silence for the rest of my time.
I am stressed. I am tired. I am teetering along something bad. I need to improve my life quality.

A benefit of advertising during the superbowl is that everyone will the advertisement. The same benefit can be a drawback though, if the ad sucks then everyone is going to laugh in your company's face. I suppose any press is good press though.
A bad commercial could even be so bad that it's funny and people love it and it goes viral.

People have superstitions because superstitions are based on religion. People follow one or another religious belief system so believing in other things is not as difficult. I think it is all silly regardless.
I have no religious belief, therefor I don't put much stock into the world of the paranormal.
